What's your favourite organelle? Is it the nucleus; the blue print for your body? How about the ribosome; the protein production factory busy making enzymes and hormones? Or are you a fan of the mitochondria (nobody pronounces it right first time!!); the power station for every process in your body.

Trying out online tutoring this week with a student. Parts of the cell, prokaryotes and eukaryotes are on the agenda. Going to use ZOOM meeting to allow us to share screens and also talk face to face so i can draw some diagrams, explain the differences, and look at how to answer comparison exam questions effectively.

PS- Look at this amazing TEM photo of a mitochondria- You can see the folded cristae separating the matrix and the intermembrane space. Anyone out there need some A-level help on respiration?
