Why does the moon wax and wane?

It is due to the position of the moon relative to the earth and the sun. A 🌗 is seeing half of the moon in darkness (as this side does not get sunlight) and half the moon that is facing the sun. If you've never knew this now you do.... go and reward yourself with all the jaffa cakes. ☺. #scienceiscool #scienceclub #amazingscience #jaffacakes #space
